About the Founder.

Ian Mason’s interest in bookkeeping began aged 16 whilst helping his mother serve the Saturday morning crowd at the village building society that she managed.  There he learnt the importance of keeping client’s financial information confidential and secure as well as the all important lesson of being able to balance the books at the end of each day.

After finishing university and travelling extensively in Asia, Ian worked in the travel industry for a number of years before co-founding a screen printing business in London.  Here he quickly gravitated towards handling the businesses finances; helping to steer it through the fallout of the 2008 financial crisis and later the Covid-19 pandemic.

Now as the founder of IEM Accounting, Ian takes a huge amount of pleasure in helping others to get to grips with their own business finances. He offers a variety of bookkeeping services including bank reconciliations, payroll, VAT returns, year-end accounts prep and cash flow forecasting. No job is too big or small, no books are too tangled.
